Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: ITC(Rs. 17925.30 crore), LIC(Rs. 2140.39 crore), IFCI(Rs. 1918.81 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1745.78 crore), Bharat Dynamics(Rs. 1606.39 crore), Mazagon Dock Ship(Rs. 1503.82 crore), Apollo Micro Systems(Rs. 1385.14 crore), GRSE(Rs. 1331.43 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1252.10 crore) and CDSL(Rs. 1251.89 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday’s session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 73.75 points down at 24752.45, while BSE Sensex fell 239.31 points to 81312.32.

In the Nifty index, HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.76 per cent), Bharat Electronics Ltd.(up 1.32 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 1.06 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 0.67 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 0.56 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, ITC Ltd.(down 3.16 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.90 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 1.71 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.66 per cent) and UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.61 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
