NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 61.18 crore), ITC(numbers of share traded: 43.19 crore), IFCI(numbers of share traded: 28.44 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 16.24 crore), Sagility India Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 15.34 crore), Karda Const(numbers of share traded: 13.31 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 9.58 crore), Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 9.54 crore), Apollo Micro Systems(numbers of share traded: 8.06 crore) and YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 7.62 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 73.75 points down at 24752.45, while BSE Sensex ended down 239.31 points at 81312.32.
On the other hand, ITC Ltd.(down 3.16 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.90 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 1.71 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.66 per cent) and UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.61 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
