Due to regional and national festivities, banks throughout India will observe a number of holidays in June 2025 in addition to their usual weekly closures. Under the Negotiable Instruments Act, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) sets certain holidays, which may differ from state to state. Customers must be aware of these dates to schedule their banking activities appropriately.

Banks in June will be closed on various occasions such as Id-ul-Ad’ha (Bakrid), Bakri ID (Id-Uz-Zuha), Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti/Saga Dawa, Ratha Yatra/Kang (Rathajatra) and Remna Ni.

June 6: Friday: Id-ul-Ad’ha (Bakrid)
Banks will be closed in Kerala.

June 7: Saturday: Bakri ID (Id-Uz-Zuha)
Banks will be closed in all states except Gujarat, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Kerala on June 7 for Bakri ID.June 11: Wednesday: Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti/Saga Dawa
Banks will be closed in Sikkim and Meghalaya on June 11 for Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti.

June 27: Friday: Ratha Yatra/Kang (Rathajatra)
Banks will be closed in Orissa and Manipur on June 27 for the occasion for Ratha Yatra.

June 30: Monday: Remna Ni
Banks will be closed in Mizoram on June 30 for Remna N which is a also called as Peace day.

Regional festivals: Festivals like Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Arjun Dev Ji, Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti, Pahili Raja, Raja Sankranti, and Ratha Yatra are regional holidays leading to bank closures in specific states.
Being aware of the bank holiday schedule in June 2025 will help ensure smooth financial planning and avoid any inconvenience due to unexpected bank closures.

Note that all scheduled and non-scheduled banks will observe public holiday on second and fourth Saturdays. Banks will remain closed on all Sundays (June 1, June 8, June 15, June 22, and June 29) and on the second and fourth Saturdays (June 14 and June 28) as per RBI guidelines.
