The Employee Provident Fund (EPF), maintained by the EPFO, is designed to help salaried individuals save for their retirement, by automatically saving a certain portion of their income every month. In case of an emergency or needs such as a child’s education and marriage, withdrawals are allowed. However, you cannot withdraw the entire amount unless you’ve been employed for 2 months or more, or have retired. There is no limit on the number of withdrawals you can make from your EPFO account.
