CGHS contribution for annual or lifetime contribution for retirees will depend on the retiree’s pay scale based on the 7th Pay Commission. For those on pay levels 1-5, the annual contribution stands at Rs 3,000, while the lifetime contribution stands at Rs 30,000. Those on pay level 6 will have to pay Rs 5,400 for an annual CGHS card, and Rs 54,000 for a lifetime CGHS card. On pay levels 7-11, the annual contribution stands at Rs 7,800, while a lifetime CGHS card would need a contribution of Rs 78,000. Anyone on or above pay level 12 has to pay Rs 12,000 for an annual CGHS card, and Rs 1,20,000 for securing a lifetime CGHS card.
