Bank holiday today: Are banks open or closed on October 20 for Diwali 2025; check state-wise list
Banks in many states are closed today on Monday (October 20, 2025) to celebrate Diwali 2025 (Deepavali 2025), Naraka Chaturdashi and Kali Puja.

In India, all scheduled and non-scheduled banks observe public holidays on the second and fourth Saturdays. While the first, third and the fifth (in some cases) will be a working Saturday for banks unless specified in the RBI holiday calendar.

In other states, banks will work as a regular working day.
