November 2025 bank holidays: Check state-wise closures for Kannada Rajyothsava, Guru Nanak Jayanti and more
As November 2025 begins, several states across India will observe regional bank holidays marking local festivals and occasions. While regular banking services will continue in most parts of the country, certain states will see branch closures on select days for events such as Kannada Rajyothsava, Guru Nanak Jayanti, Kartika Purnima, and other regional celebrations. Customers planning in-branch visits should check the state-specific schedule to avoid inconvenience.

All scheduled and non-scheduled banks will observe public holidays on second and fourth Saturdays, according to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) rules. First, third and fifth Saturdays in some cases will work as regular working days unless specified as a holiday in the RBI holiday calendar.

Bank holiday on November 1, 2025

Banks are closed in Karnataka for Kannada Rajyothsava and in Uttarakhand for Igas-Bagwal on November 1, 2025. In other states, banks will work as usual.

Bank holiday on November 5, 2025

Banks are closed in Mizoram, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu & Srinagar, Uttar Pradesh, Nagaland, West Bengal, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Himachal Pradesh on account of Guru Nanak Jayanti, Kartika Purnima, and Rahas Purnima.

Banks are closed in Meghalaya for the Nongkrem Dance festival.

Banks are closed in Meghalaya for the Wangala festival.

Bank holiday on November 8, 2025

Banks are closed in Karnataka on Kanakadasa Jayanthi. This is the second Saturday as banks are closed across India.
