OCI Cardholders cannot vote, be a member of the Legislative Assembly, Legislative Council, or Parliament, and cannot hold constitutional positions such as President, Vice-President, or Judge of the Supreme Court or High Court, as per section 7B(2) of the Citizenship Act, 1955. They are also not eligible for public services or government posts, except those specified by the Central Government. Furthermore, OCI Cardholders cannot acquire agricultural land, farmhouses, or plantation properties in India.
