Under the current system, HDFC BanK debit card holders meeting a quarterly spend of Rs 5,000 could access lounges by swiping their physical debit card. From January 10, 2026, the process will shift to a digital voucher system. Customers who spend Rs 10,000 or more in a calendar quarter will receive an SMS or email within two working days, containing a link to claim their lounge access voucher, says HDFC Bank.

Upon claiming, a 12-18 digit voucher code will be sent to the registered mobile number and email, which must be presented at the lounge for entry. The bank says that the Rs 10,000 spend limit condition does not apply on Infiniti debit cardholders who will get lounge benefits without spends criteria.

How will the process of getting airport lounge access through an HDFC Bank debit card change?
Effective January 10, 2026, customers who meet a quarterly spend criteria of Rs 10,000 will receive an SMS/Email on their registered mobile number/Email Id within 2 working days, containing a link to claim their lounge access voucher. The customer needs to click on this link and claim the voucher.
Once claimed, a 12-18 digit voucher code will be sent to the registered email id and mobile number which needs to be shown at the time of entry at the airport lounge to avail complimentary access.
Note: Effective January 10, 2026, physical debit card-based lounge access will no longer be accepted.
When will the voucher-based lounge access facility on HDFC Bank Debit Cards be applicable from?
The voucher-based lounge facility on HDFC Bank Debit Cards will be applicable from January 10, 2026.
Example of how HDFC Bank debit card holders can avail complimentary lounge facility?
Example: If a customer spends a minimum of Rs 10,000 in a quarter i.e. (Jan-Mar, Apr-June, July-Sep, Oct-Dec), he or she will get a SMS/Email on the registered mobile number/Email Id within two working days with a link to claim lounge access voucher.
What is the validity of the lounge vouchers?
The validity of lounge vouchers will be the date of generation to the next quarter end. Example:
- If the voucher is received on November 15, 2025, then validity will be till March 31, 2026.
- If the voucher is received on January 10, 2026, then validity will be till June 30, 2026.
- If the voucher is received on March 31, 2026, then the voucher’s validity will be till June 30, 2026.

How to claim the HDFC Bank lounge voucher
Step-y-tep process to claim the lounge voucher-
Step 1: Customer will receive a SMS/Email with a link to claim the lounge voucher on meeting the quarterly spends criteria of Rs 10,000 on his or her HDFC Bank debit card.
Step 2: Click on the link and login through a registered mobile number and validate OTP
Step 3: Once the OTP is validated, the customer will be able to check lounge access voucher details on the claim page. To claim the lounge access voucher, click on claim now tab and validate OTP which will be sent on the registered mobile number.
Step 4: Upon claiming the voucher successfully, the customer will be receiving voucher delivery Email and SMS with 12-18-digit alphanumeric voucher code OR QR code.
