Your money may be sitting idle for 10+ years: Use UDGAM to find and reclaim it

In October 2025, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman launched the “Your Money, Your Right” campaign to help citizens reclaim unclaimed financial assets. The campaign runs nationwide from October to December and offers guidance on tracing and claiming money from forgotten bank deposits, insurance claims, and shares. Alongside, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) introduced a one-year scheme to settle unclaimed bank deposits efficiently. This initiative aims to make the process simple and transparent, ensuring every rupee saved reaches its rightful owner.
